Dr. Hannu L. Suominen

PhD, Founder of the ZET- Companies

Suominen studied in the University of Helsinki mainly mathematics, physics, chemistry and several biological sciences. His scientific studies on the Baltic Sea for seven years were published by his doctoral thesis in marine microbiology in 1980. From then on, his interest in the origins of life inspired him to invent the Zero Emission Technology products. He has 153 patents issued in his name and he has delivered over 300 projects to 45 countries.

Dr. Heikki J. Sipilä

PhD, Chairman of the Board, Partner

Sipilä got his M.Sc and PhD degrees from Technical Physics Department at Helsinki University of Technology. He started his professional career at Outokumpu Oy’s research laboratory Institute of Physics. The main task of this laboratory was to develop automated analyzers for process control in mining and metallurgical industry. He initiated several on-line and portable x-ray fluorescence analyzers, which are used in numerous companies.

Lauri H. Suominen

MSc, Member of the Board, Partner

Lauri got his M.Sc degree from University of California. He is professional project manager in industrial biotechnology with 9 years of industry experience. Under his leadership, major technical programs were delivered on time and on budget. Lauri has experienced management in international business and technical communication and client relationship. He is innovator with multiple patents and patent applications. He has been as the project leader of 5 different projects spanning sustainable materials to food and feed.

Riitta Vanhala-Kukkonen

Biomedical laboratory Scientist, Partner

Riitta has an extensive work experience in clinical laboratory development, management and work. Construction of operating systems, auditing according to standards and accreditation in the research laboratory. A member of research team and project working for several years. Important work on the “One Health” theme, in harmony with the well-being of humans, animals and nature. Riitta is a business developer and an export director of the Zero Emission Technologies of the HLS-Electro companies.

Matti Kankkunen

AD, designer, Partner

Matti is a graduate from Kulosaari co-ed school. After school he started learning technical illustration, which soon led to computer illustrating and graphic designing. Matti is all round advertiser AD, being the head of advertising section in HK department store for many years. Matti has also made numerous documentations to various goods, machines and services containing brochures, manuals, booklets, photography and TV commercials. Hobbies are music (drums) and music recording and guitar making (design).
