From Hydrology to Dry Mining

In mining industry, a circular economy means that alongside mining of the target materials, the materials of minor value in side rock will be refined and recovered as pure fractions, too. In the Dry Mining Operations, the consumption of water is minimized, production water purified and reused. Much of the valuables are dumped in the mining areas as pollutants. Precious metals and minerals remaining in mining side streams can be recovered by MUST – Pure Water Technology, Dry Enrichment and Ion Particle Classifier. By using our Zero Emission Technologies the pollution of the environment will be eliminated in the mining areas and refining sites.

We have used MUST –Pure Water Technology for the purification of jarosite water leaking from a Finnish closed nickel mine. Rain water dissolves toxic metals, minerals, sulfates etc. from cobalt residue of jarosite waste. Jarosite side rock pollutes groundwater up to nearby community.

DRY MINING – DRY ENRICHMENT – ZERO EMISSION
Mining, which is based on hydro-metallurgical methods, creates huge environmental waste water pollution. Addition to large waste water problems, large quantities of side rock contain valuable materials in low quantities. Dry Mining Process grinds ore by JET MILL – an autogenous opposed jet mill technology – down to sub-micron size. The pulverized particles are introduced through ION PARTICLE CLASSIFIER – a modified air purification system. It will remove, separate, classify and collect each type of pure elements and minerals in sub-micron particles from air flow into pure, distinct fractions.
